Founded in 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta, Pelmont was built on a bold and enduring vision: to bring the spirit of the Age of Discovery into the modern world through fashion, storytelling, and identity. Our brand celebrates the explorers, pioneers, and defining moments that shaped Canada, reimagining them through a contemporary lens that resonates with today’s generation.
The Fur Trade
When the North American Fur Trade started in the 1600s, Canada's legacy began. The Fur Trade, brought cultures and traditions together, and solidified our country's golden heritage. The Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) sought to revive and continue promoting and preserving Canada's ancestry. However, modern times called for modern changes, change does not always mean throwing out the past. Instead, maybe it just means revisiting that past in a different way, and that is what Pelmont has sought to accomplish.
Western Exploration
The Age of Discovery laid the groundwork for new found nations and ever-expansioning economies of mercantilism.
At the same time, it brought the trade and exchange of european cultures for north american goods. This brought on a certain lifestyle and theme to our world. At Pelmont, we celebrate the Age of Discovery in the most dynamic way possible.
